‘EREWHON’ MAN

I am a longtime avid L.A. Times reader and puzzle aficionado. There was an error in the Dec. 22 Puzzler, one that has occurred before, if memory serves me well. 10 Down should have been “Erehwon,” the backward spelling of “Nowhere,” rather than “Erewhon.”
I do so wish that you would bring back the double acrostics, at least occasionally. We looked forward to and enjoyed them greatly . . . in the good ole days!

The answer to the clue “Samuel Butler’s Utopia” is indeed “Erewhon,” the English author’s satiric 1872 novel, which was followed by 1901’s “Erewhon Revisited.”
