Lawrence Gottlieb, 64, television producer and writer who pioneered humorous game shows to match contestants with dream dates. A native of Detroit, Gottlieb moved to Los Angeles to work in television. For Chuck Barris Productions, he wrote and produced the original “Dating Game,” “Newlywed Game” and “Dream Girl.” Among Gottlieb’s independent productions were the programs “Windfall” and “Fantasy.” On Monday in Newport Beach of heart failure.
