Champy Joins Perot Systems: James Champy, a management consultant and co-author of the best-selling book “Reengineering the Corporation” has resigned as chief executive of consulting firm CSC Index and will join Perot Systems Inc. as chairman of its consulting practice. Champy, 54, will lead the management consulting efforts at the privately held Dallas-based computer services concern. The move is part of an effort to broaden the firm’s offerings. Perot has hired several other high-profile management consultants recently, including former McKinsey & Co. partners Frank Ostroff and Gil Marmol. CSC Index is a unit of El Segundo-based Computer Sciences Corp.
