Hiker, 58, Suffers Fatal Heart Attack

A 58-year-old Thousand Oaks man suffered a heart attack and died early Monday while hiking along a fire road, authorities said.
Thomas Lajcik was pronounced dead at 8:57 a.m. on Fairview Fire Road south of the Ventura Freeway near Hampshire Road, said Deputy Coroner Mitch Breese.
Lajcik had been hiking along the rocky path with some family members when he suffered the heart attack, police said.
