Re “Riordan Ally Seeks Council Candidates,” Aug. 12:
Bill Wardlaw, or anyone else for that matter, would be hard pressed to find a better representative for the constituents of the 3rd District, than City Council member Laura Chick. She is a hard-working, consensus-building problem solver, and her staff at both City Hall and the field office represents her most effectively. The fact that Mayor Richard Riordan needs to have a hatchet man to get rid of council members who are not in total agreement with him is ludicrous.
