Beilenson Painted in Too-Positive Light
The Aug. 7 article “Beilenson Launches Salvo at House’s 1-Minute Speeches” is an unabashedly biased attempt to try to make retiring Democratic Rep. Tony Beilenson of the 24th District appear as “a man beyond reproach” as he nears the end of his last term in office.
Isn’t this a petty gripe by someone who decided to retire from office rather than work with a fresh Republican majority? Beilenson, who claims to never have attacked anyone in one-minute speeches himself, is fed up only now? Were his previous nine terms under a Democratic majority without such attacks?
