Police, Students Clash for 3rd Day

South Korean police stormed Seoul’s Yonsei University for the third consecutive day after the government rejected student demonstrators’ offer to disband and vowed to punish the ringleaders of a rally supporting reunification with the Communist North. But police failed to win the surrender of the students and pulled back from the campus after several hours. A rally is held annually to highlight students’ reunification demands, but this year’s was the most violent in years.
