Tax Appeal Forms Available at Libraries

Residents who want to appeal their property tax assessments this year may do so at their neighborhood libraries.
Formerly, residents had to call the county appeals office for proper forms during the annual filing period, July 2 to Sept. 15.
During those months, said Orange County Board of Supervisors clerk Darlene Bloom, “telephone lines at the assessment appeals office [were] jammed with inquiries, making it difficult for people to get the information and forms they needed.”
“By making the appeals form available at all 28 county libraries, the public can get them more easily,” Bloom said.
