Art Gallery Hosting Dali, Theater Exhibits

The city’s art gallery this month will host two exhibits, “Dali’s Mustache” and “Celebrating the Art of Theater.”
“Dali’s Mustache” is a photographic exhibition by Phillipe Halsman featuring 32 unusual views of the Surrealist painter’s signature mustache.
“Celebrating the Art of Theater” is a display of costumes and sets from theater productions. Its main focus is on theaters and designers in Southern California, including Opera Pacific, Ballet Pacifica, South Coast Repertory, Long Beach Playhouse, Laguna Playhouse, Center Theater Group, Fullerton Civic Light Opera and Brea’s Curtis Theater.
The concurrent exhibits will run from Aug. 25 to Oct. 18.
A free public reception to celebrate the exhibits’ openings will be next Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m.
