Two drivers going south on the Costa Mesa Freeway swerved out of control and crashed through a fence Friday, landing in the parking lot of the Crazy Horse Steak House and Saloon, according to a California Highway Patrol dispatcher.
The green Mustang and white Ford Taurus were headed south at Dyer Road at about 7 p.m. when they crashed into the parking lot, stunning customers at the club.
“It was pretty crazy out here,” said hostess Stephanie Zine.
The Mustang flipped and landed an inch from a parked car. But the car’s air bag deployed and the driver emerged from the wreckage relatively unhurt, Zine said.
“There were a lot of customers watching,” she said. “Everyone was more surprised she was all right. It looked like she wouldn’t have been.”
The other driver also escaped with only minor injuries, a dispatcher said.
