. . . About 1,000 invitation-only guests tested the soon-to-be opened Wild Rivers water park in Irvine, at the site of the closed Lion Country animal park.
The park’s opening had been delayed because Irvine Co. landowners insisted that park operators obtain additional insurance coverage. All 7,000 season passes offered by the park had already sold.
