Motorcyclist Dies in Crash at Intersection

CANOGA PARK — An unidentified motorcyclist who ran a red light at a busy intersection collided with a car and died Wednesday, witnesses told police.
The man, who carried no identification, was trying to beat a red light as he rode south on Canoga Avenue about 3:30 p.m., police said.
Accelerating through the intersection, he slammed into a car making a legal left turn onto Roscoe Boulevard, police said.
The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the car, Gorgonio Saucedo of West Hills, was distraught and shaken, police said, but otherwise unharmed.
Saucedo was not cited or arrested, police said.
