Milchan Says He Wants MGM: Arnon Milchan, chief executive of New Regency Productions, confirmed that he wants to buy Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer. “Yes, I am interested in acquiring MGM because we don’t have a library,” Milchan said. Milchan said he needs to acquire a movie studio in order to produce the increased number of movies that he wants. He reportedly has retained an investment firm to negotiate with MGM but declined to elaborate. Milchan was speaking at a media conference in New York.
