The Girl Scout Council of Orange County honored two Orange County women for their professional achievements.
Monica Florian of Huntington Beach and Bernice Hird of La Habra were chosen to receive the Women of Distinction award.
Florian is senior vice president of corporate relations at the Irvine Co.
Hird, now retired after a career as manager of community relations for Hunt-Wesson, is active in civic and social services organizations throughout Orange County.
