Youth Orchestra in Holiday Concert Today
The New West Ventura Youth Symphony will hold its holiday concert today, featuring a traditional arrangement of “Hava Nagila.”
The youth orchestra, made up of children ages 7 through 12, will also perform “Silent Night,” Bach’s “Little Fugue” and the overture to Wagner’s “Rienzi.”
The show will include several solos, a string quartet and several pieces of Handel’s “Water Music”.
Also, the Balboa Middle School Advanced Orchestra, one of the few school string orchestras in the county, will perform.
The free concert will begin at 4 p.m. at the Ventura College Arts Theater.
