ANAHEIM : City to Review Plans for Metrolink Station

Design specifications and landscaping plans for a Metrolink commuter rail station in eastern Anaheim will be reviewed by the City Council today.
The Anaheim Redevelopment Agency has budgeted $1.2 million for the rail station, which will be between the Riverside Freeway and La Palma Avenue, west of Tustin Avenue.
Scheduled to open in April, the station will be one of several stops on the Metrolink commuter rail corridor that originates in San Bernardino and continues through the cities of Riverside, Anaheim, Tustin and Irvine.
Plans for the station include a 16-by-510-foot concrete platform with five steel canopies. There will also be areas for buses.
Other items on today’s meeting agenda are:
* Choosing a mayor pro tem. Councilman Frank Feldhaus now holds the position.
* A public hearing on proposed changes to city codes relating to fire safety, buildings, swimming pools, hot tubs, spas and solar energy equipment.
The council meets at 5 p.m. at City Hall, 200 S. Anaheim Blvd.
