OUTLOOK
After a disappointing season that saw them pull a late fade from playoff contention, the Warriors have redemption as well as the league title on their minds. Montgomery (1,626 yards, a school-record 18 touchdowns), who had the county’s seventh-best rushing total, is back and hopes Haggert can clear plenty of running space. But Turek--who needs eight victories for 100 in his career--has to build a new offensive line and nurse Muther along until he has the confidence to do enough passing so opponents can’t bottle up the rushing attack. Turek also can’t overwork a defense that lacks depth. Still, late blooming could work in Troy’s favor; this time they might come together in November, instead of fall apart.
