Man Fatally Stabbed by Robber

PALMDALE —  A 33-year-old man was stabbed to death inside his home early Tuesday during a robbery, Los Angeles County Sheriff’s deputies said.

John Putjentar and his wife, Donna, were confronted by two pistol-carrying robbers as they drove up to their house in the 36800 block of Camden Court early Tuesday, Deputy Benita Nichol said.

The men forced the couple out of the car and into the house, which they ransacked, Nichol said. During the robbery, one of them stabbed John Putjentar in the torso, and the robbers fled with an unknown amount of cash and property about 2:30 a.m., she said.

Putjentar died at the scene.
