Man Crossing Street Is Struck and Killed

MISSION VIEJO — A 31-year-old man was struck and killed by a vehicle while walking across Oso Parkway at Montanosa Drive about 4:45 a.m. Sunday, a Sheriff’s Department spokesman said.
John Fitzgerald Bonk of Mission Viejo was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics, according to Sheriff’s Lt. Jay Mendez.
Bonk was struck by a vehicle driven by Robert Alan Dinsmore, 34, who was traveling west on Oso Parkway, Mendez said.
Dinsmore was not cited pending investigation of the incident.
