Broadway Stores Names Chief Operating Officer: The Los Angeles-based retailer named Burnett W. Donoho, a former executive with R.H. Macy & Co., to the newly created position. Donoho was vice chairman and chief operating officer of Macy’s East--including Macy’s eastern stores, Bloomingdale’s and other chains--from 1992 to 1994. He was a retailing consultant before joining Broadway Stores. Donoho will oversee human resources, financial and store operations. Broadway Stores operates 82 department stores under the names Broadway, Emporium and Weinstocks.
