Trash Truck Route

* Why us? In San Juan Capistrano we have three main streets running through our little town, and they want to use one of them (the Ortega Highway) for garbage trucks. Certainly San Diego County has a place to empty their trash.
They don’t want it. We don’t want it.

* What a joke! Each trash fee bill here in Fountain Valley now carries an additional charge of $6 for recycling service. Such efficiency has produced a decline in the amount of trash dumped in Orange County’s landfills (surprise!). So now the county needs to increase the dumping fee to make up for lost revenue. Wait a minute--why can’t the county reduce expenses to match the reduced need for service? Is this just another example of government costs increasing at the same time the need for services is decreasing? Sounds like it to us.
