Honoring Scholars

* With about a month left before the high schools graduate the class of 1995, you have reported the signings of many of the seniors that have committed to play sports for various colleges, but the future of the country does not rest with the athletes. It rests with the scholars. They deserve at least as much recognition--if not more--as the athletes. Scholars should be recognized as role models for the younger students. It may not be hot news, but it would be a tremendous public service as an investment in the future of Orange County.
