CRENSHAW : African Liberation Day Event Planned

The African American Cultural Center and the community organization Us are hosting a celebration Monday commemorating the 33rd annual African Liberation Day.
The event includes poetry readings, music and vendors displaying a variety of African arts, books, clothing and other expressions of African-based culture.
African Liberation Day was established in 1962 at the Organization of African Unity conference in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, to commemorate the cultural and political solidarity of African people worldwide.
The celebration is from 6 to 9 p.m. at the center, 2560 W. 54th St. Admission is free. Information: (213) 299-6124.
