In an effort to recognize aspiring painters and sculptors in the region, Rep. Lucille Roybal-Allard (D-Los Angeles) has launched her second annual art competition for high school students in her district.
The winning artist will receive a trip to Washington, where his or her work will be exhibited at the congresswoman’s office for one year.
This year’s theme is “Our Cultural Heritage.” Roybal-Allard’s district office at 255 E. Temple St. will accept original paintings, collages and prints through June 23.
