PORTLAND, Ore. — A 21-year-old woman was arrested for allegedly threatening to blow up a federal office building here on the same day as the Oklahoma City bomb blast, authorities said.
Loriann Debray of Portland pleaded not guilty Thursday to charges of threatening to damage federal property with explosives and impeding the work of federal employees.
Within hours of the Oklahoma bombing April 19, an Internal Revenue Service employee received an anonymous call from a woman who said the Portland federal building would be “next,” officials said.
As a result, the 1,500 employees who work in the Green/Wyatt Federal Building were evacuated. No explosives were found.
