Talmud Kramer, a longtime Ventura County resident, died at his home Wednesday. He was 82.
He owned and operated vineyards in Fresno and later was the health and safety officer at Camarillo State Hospital.
He was a member of the International Order of Oddfellows, the musicians union and the Society of Safety Engineers.
He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and William Ryle of Santa Clara; son and daughter-in-law, Norman and Cynthia Kramer of Camarillo; son, Samuel Kramer of Ventura; brother, Delmar Kramer of Rodeo in Northern California; half-sister, Marcia Kramer of Maryland; and grandsons, William and John Ryle of Santa Clara.
A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday at Ted Mayr Funeral Home, Ventura. Memorial contributions may be made to the Nature Conservancy, 712 Fair Oaks, South Pasadena, Calif., 91030.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Ted Mayr.
