Moving ahead with plans to hire a new city manager, the Simi Valley City Council is scheduled to meet in closed session Tuesday to select candidates for interviews.
The meeting will be held at 5:30 p.m. in the council chambers at City Hall, 2929 Tapo Canyon Road. Although the meeting will be conducted behind closed doors, the public has been invited to comment on the matter before the session begins.
The city is looking for a new manager to replace Lin Koester, who is leaving the post to become chief administrative officer for Ventura County.
Top candidates include Assistant City Manager Mike Sedell, Deputy City Manager Don Penman and Bob Hunt, a former assistant manager who left to manage the city of La Quinta in Riverside County.
