SANTA ANA : College Gets Its Largest Scholarship Grant Ever
- Share via
The Rancho Santiago College Foundation has received a $51,000 grant to establish a scholarship on behalf of a former English teacher, a college spokesman said.
The grant, from the estate of Mirrle W. Bouchey, is the largest scholarship contribution in the college’s history, spokesman Dale Ruhe said.
The scholarship will be awarded to students studying English while attending Rancho Santiago. The first scholarship will be awarded in the 1995-96 school year, Ruhe said.
Bouchey taught at the college starting in 1958, when it was known as Santa Ana College, and continued for about 10 years. She died last year, Ruhe said.
