RE-RAP: The prospects for the long-touted N.W.A. reunion seem brighter with the news that group founder Eazy-E has officially parted ways with his longtime manager Jerry Heller. N.W.A. alum Ice Cube has frequently cited his dislike of Heller for the break-up of the controversial group, which pioneered L.A.’s gangsta-rap genre.
With Heller out of the picture, talks are said to be stepping up for the long-rumored N.W.A. reunion. That album, projected for 1996, would come on the heels of the hotly anticipated Helter Skelter--a collaboration between Cube and fellow N.W.A. alum Dr. Dre, expected to be released in the summer or fall.
