Delta-Virgin Link-Up Gets Federal OK: Delta Air Lines Inc. said its plan to sell seats on Virgin Atlantic Airways flights has been approved by the Transportation Department. The airline will purchase a designated number of seats on Virgin flights that it will independently price and sell. Virgin trips between London’s two main airports and Los Angeles, Newark, New York, Orlando, Fla., Miami, San Francisco and Boston will be the first made available through Delta ticketing. The “code-sharing” agreement will give Delta its first access to London’s Heathrow Airport.
