Village Christian Gets Some Help

SUN VALLEY — The Village Christian High girls’ basketball team was bolstered Wednesday by the transfer of point guard Jennifer Smith from Crescenta Valley.

Smith will be eligible to play for the Crusaders when they open play in the L.A. Baptist tournament today, Village Christian Coach John Domke said.

“We just got some major help,” Domke said. “She has the ability to control the game for us. She’s a real natural for that position.”

Smith, a freshman, attended her first classes Wednesday and practiced with the team after school.
