Irish nationalist leader Gerry Adams will meet at the White House next week with National Security Adviser Anthony Lake in an effort to spur the peace process in Northern Ireland, U.S. officials announced. Adams, leader of Sinn Fein, the civilian political arm of the Irish Republican Army, will be granted a waiver to travel to the United States on a multiple entry visa good for 90 days.
