OUTLOOK
Loftis said the Lobos are strong in all areas of the game, and with some good players returning, he thinks the ingredients for a winning season are there. “Our main goal is to put Los Amigos on the map for working hard and never quitting,” he said. “And if we get the wins, well, that’s just icing on the cake.” Back at guard is first-team, all-league selection Zavala, who averaged 16 points and is being counted on as one of the team leaders. Also returning is Nguyen, a good shooting guard. Loftis says because there doesn’t seem to be one dominate team in league this season, it might be a good year for Los Amigos to make a statement. But the coach knows if any gain is to be made, it will require hard work and dedication. “Our success will depend on how hard we work and our attitude on and off the court,” Loftis said. “For us, every team and every game will be a big game.”
