Rowland 21, Newbury Park 20--Defensive back Angel Rivas’ diving play thwarted a two-point conversion by Newbury Park (6-5) with 55 seconds remaining and preserved the victory for host Rowland (10-1).

Newbury Park quarterback Chris Czernek, who completed 21 of 45 for 258 yards, led his team 85 yards in the final three minutes. Running back Brock Diediker scored from six yards. Diediker finished with 66 yards and two touchdowns in seven carries.
