SEASON AT A GLANCE: For the past two seasons, Rigby has toiled in the shadow of running back Josh Hawkins, who leads area Southern Section players with 1,459 yards rushing. Rigby, who usually blocks for Hawkins, has rushed for 538 yards in 103 carries, has 10 receptions for 105 yards and is the Rangers’ second-leading scorer with seven touchdowns. His presence in the backfield has helped Hawkins amass more than 3,000 yards in the past two seasons.

WEEK AT A GLANCE: In Nordhoff’s 36-27 victory over Moorpark last week--a game that figures to determine the Frontier League championship--Rigby stole the show. He scored on runs of 34 and four yards, and threw for a touchdown on a 42-yard play.
