Woman Denies Killing Spouse With Cyanide

COLUMBUS, Ohio — A woman married for less than a year killed her husband by slipping cyanide into his orange juice and tried to make it look like a suicide, police said.
Michelle Barrett, 26, pleaded not guilty last week to murder and was released on $11,000 bond. She is accused of serving her 29-year-old husband, Kirk, a glass of juice laced with potassium cyanide Sept. 25. He died moments later.
