Donations Overlooked

A major contribution, $1,000 from the Oxnard Elks Lodge, was overlooked in the Sept. 24 article regarding the new video security system at the Oxnard Public Library. Additionally, there have been many contributions from members of Friends of the Library and other concerned citizens.
The Ventura County Amateur Radio Club kicked off the fund-raising for the system with a $1,000 donation in April, 1993. The club recently gave another $1,000 for the second phase of the system.
We appreciate the support that has been shown for this and other Friends projects. Friends of the Library strives to help the Oxnard Public Library in its continuing service to our community.
