Dole Food Expects Lower Profit in 3rd Quarter
- Share via
Dole Food Co., the Westlake Village-based food and real estate giant, said it expects its third-quarter profit to fall short of its year-earlier results. It also said earnings for the just-completed quarter would be below analysts’ expectations.
Dole said the expected decline in profit was due to weakness in the Pacific Rim banana market and continued weakness in its fresh vegetables business.
In its third quarter that ended Oct. 9, 1993, Dole earned $5.1 million on $1 billion in revenue.
