Seventh-seeded Richard Krajicek of the Netherlands on Sunday used a record 34 aces to beat Boris Becker, 7-6 (7-5), 7-6 (9-7), 2-6, 6-3, in the championship of the $895,000 Australian Indoor tournament in Sydney. The victory was the third for Krajicek since returning from knee surgery.

Fifth-seeded Magdalena Maleeva of Bulgaria defeated No. 3 Natalia Zvereva of Belarus, 7-5, 3-6, 6-4, to win the $750,000 European Indoors tournament in Zurich, Switzerland. . . . Magnus Larsson of Sweden needed less than an hour to beat American Jared Palmer, 6-1, 6-3, in the championship of the $400,000 Toulouse Open in Toulouse, France. . . . Top-seeded Alberto Berasategui rebounded from losing the first set and defeated Oscar Martinez, 4-6, 7-6 (7-4), 6-3, in an all-Spanish final at the $188,000 Athens International tournament in Greece.
