Candidates have been invited to appear at the 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. forum at the City Council Chambers, 2000 Main St. Twenty-three candidates are vying for four seats on the council.
The forum, co-sponsored by the Huntington Beach Chapters of the American Assn. of University Women and the League of Women Voters, is an opportunity for the public to hear the candidates talk about local issues.
Questions may be mailed to: Rita Healy, League of Women Voters, P.O. Box 2120, Huntington Beach 92647. More information: (714) 840-7317.
The league’s election guide, which provides voter information on candidates at the county, state and federal level and an analysis of county and state ballot issues, will be available at the forum and at city libraries.
