EL MONTE: An unidentified man died Thursday night after being shot during a fight with another man, sheriff’s deputies said. The two men fought outside Joey’s Market in the 12200 block of Ramona Boulevard at about 8 p.m., deputies said. The killer is still at large and no other information is available.
POMONA: Police arrested 30 men on suspicion of solicitation for prostitution during a sting operation Friday night. Using two undercover female police officers, police conducted a sting in the 1600 block of East Mission Boulevard after receiving complaints from business owners in the area.
ROWLAND HEIGHTS: An 18-year-old man was fatally stabbed Saturday morning after fighting with about seven other men. The victim, who was not immediately identified pending notification of relatives, was stabbed at 2 a.m. in the 2600 block of Gallio Avenue, sheriff’s deputies said. Authorities have no suspects.
SAN MARINO: Three burglars tied up a 40-year-old San Marino woman Tuesday morning when she returned to her home on Shakespeare Drive during a burglary. The woman escaped unharmed shortly afterward, police said. The burglars took $15,000 worth of stereo equipment and other items.
SOUTH PASADENA: A Los Angeles man and an unidentified juvenile were arrested Tuesday morning on suspicion of auto burglary. Ruben Gonzalez, 19, and the juvenile were arrested at 2:41 a.m. in the 1800 block of Fremont Avenue, police said. They allegedly burglarized four or five cars, taking an estimated $1,000 worth of property. Police said they recovered all of the property.
