St. Francis 34, Pius X 6--Darin Maxwell and Jason Garcia of St. Francis (2-0-1) each rushed for more than 100 yards and a touchdown and the Golden Knights held host Pius X to four first downs.

Garcia, a first-year player, had 104 yards in 10 carries and Maxwell added 103 yards in 27 carries.

The Golden Knights capitalized on good field position, marching for three touchdowns after taking possession in Warrior territory.

Karim Mahrous returned a punt 54 yards in the first quarter to start the scoring. Three plays later, John Torosian intercepted a pass at the Pius X 22-yard line to set up a nine-yard scoring pass from Brian Rucker to Chris Ross.
