CAMARILLO — Ronnie Jenkins blistered Camarillo High by rushing for 356 yards and three touchdowns in 20 carries to lead Hueneme to a 47-29 nonleague victory Friday night.
Jenkins scored on runs of 90, 65 and 48 yards.
The 5-foot-11, 160-pound junior had amassed 294 yards by halftime to give the Vikings (2-1) a 28-15 halftime lead.
Camarillo (1-2) scored first on Roth Valencia’s 34-yard run in the first quarter to cap a six-play, 66-yard drive.
But Viking quarterback George Jones struck back quickly, connecting with Rashod Cousins for a 13-yard touchdown play after a 40-yard run by Jenkins. Jones added a one-yard scoring run late in the first quarter to give Hueneme a lead it didn’t relinquish.
Valencia rushed for 168 yards in 25 carries.
