Alemany 7, Simi Valley 7--In a game in which neither team could sustain consistent offense, Alemany (0-2-1) and Simi Valley (2-0-1) fought to a tie at Alemany.

Alemany scored in the first quarter when running back Danny Hardgrave fumbled and teammate Jose Gonzales recovered in the end zone.

In the second quarter, Simi Valley tied the score on a 14-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Tim Bennett to wide receiver Anthony Tauriello. The key play in the 84-yard drive was running back Chris Miller’s 66-yard run to the Alemany 18.

Simi Valley’s Tim Wolleck’s 53-yard field goal attempt was blocked with 10 seconds to play.
