Semtech Corp., a Newbury Park maker of semiconductors and other electronic components, reported a profit of $150,000 for its fiscal first quarter, rebounding from a loss of $210,000 in the same period a year earlier.
In the quarter ending May 31, Semtech said revenue climbed 12%, to $5.65 million from $5.05 million a year earlier. Semtech attributed the stronger results partly to lower manufacturing costs. The company said it received $6 million of new orders in the latest quarter, up 5% from a year earlier, but orders for military and aerospace products declined.
