LAGUNA NIGUEL : 2 Foot Races to Help Teen Rides Program
- Share via
Runners and walkers can test their lungs along the trails of Laguna Niguel Regional Park on June 12 in two foot races that will raise money for a nonprofit group that provides safe rides home for intoxicated teens.
A five-kilometer run/stride and a 10-kilometer race will start at 7:30 and 8:30 a.m., respectively, at the T.J. Maxx clothing store, 27271 La Paz Road, in the Plaza de la Paz Shopping Center in Laguna Niguel. The courses will wind through the park.
The $15 registration fee for the second annual “Maxximum 5K/10K Run” will benefit South County Safe Rides, a Boy Scouts Explorer program aimed at preventing teen-age drivers under the influence of alcohol or other drugs from driving. Safe rides home are provided between 10 p.m. and 2 a.m. on Friday and Saturday nights.
