SANTA ANA — Four Orange County men have been charged with criminal conspiracy and grand theft for allegedly participating in a scheme to set back odometers on used cars, the district attorney’s office said Tuesday.
Twelve charges were filed by the district attorney’s office based on an investigation by the Department of Motor Vehicles at Europe Auto Sales. Those charged are Phuoc Hong Pham, 28; Tuyet Kim Le, 43, and Minh Lac Au, 49, all of Westminster, and Dung Kim Le, 52, of Midway City.
The DMV has also initiated action to revoke the dealership’s license. The agency’s investigator alleges that 12 cars were sold with reset odometers, with a loss to victims of $75,110.
