LOMITA : City Council Meetings to Be Televised Soon
- Share via
The Lomita City Council will soon begin televising its meetings.
Council members voted 5 to 0 Monday to videotape their sessions for play on local cable TV. Officials have yet to set a start date, time or channel for the broadcasts.
The cost is expected to be minimal, officials said. City officials say they may use a donated home video camera or buy one. Copley/Colony Cablevision will supply technical assistance and videotapes as part of its contract to provide cable service in the city.
“I think this is a great way to get information out to the people,” Mayor Ben Traina said.
