Lunker Bass at Casitas the Rule, Not Exception

Given the size of the bass coming out of Lake Casitas in recent weeks, it’s not surprising that a recent tournament at the Ventura County reservoir produced outstanding results.
The first-place team of Dana Rosen and Darin Tochihara set a record for any major bass tournament with a six-fish limit totaling 63.26 pounds.
The catch last Saturday included three fish weighing more than 10 pounds, including a 13.52-pounder.
The biggest bass of the tournament, however, was a 15.47-pounder caught by Brian Mitchell of Ventura. Mitchell and Todd Holder of Ojai finished second with six fish totaling 36.97 pounds.
