In other Division I-A games:

Mater Dei 94, Irvine 45--Schea Cotton had 30 points and eight rebounds, Miles Simon added 17 points and seven assists and Shaun Jackson finished with 14 points for Mater Dei (27-0), the top-ranked team in the division.

Greg Foster scored 11 points for Irvine (13-14). Mater Dei plays El Monte Arroyo in the second round Friday night.

Orange 57, El Toro 43--Gil Gonzales scored seven of his game-high 23 points in the fourth quarter to help host Orange (24-3) pull away. Orange led, 39-35, after three quarters. The Panthers play Corona on Friday in the second round.

Corona 82, San Clemente 73--Jonny McKee had 29 points for Corona (21-4). Phinney Gardner had 19 points and 11 rebounds for San Clemente (12-13).
